Project Overview
The awarded project promoted an innovative herbal-based agricultural technology — the Harvest Bottle (丰收瓶) system — which delivers active herbal extract compounds in vapour form to regulate crop growth signalling, promote flowering and fruit-set, and repel pests including spider mites and snails, without chemical residues or direct contact with plant surfaces. The technology integrates traditional Chinese herbal agricultural knowledge with modern microbiological fermentation, offering a low-cost, easy-to-operate, and ecologically sustainable alternative to chemical pesticides and fertilisers.
The promotion programme was implemented across 6 official demonstration bases in Guangdong Province, covering Guangzhou, Dongguan, Maoming, and Zhanjiang, and documented significant agronomic and economic benefits across multiple crops including tomato, cucumber, Shatang mandarin, and guava.
